Mists clearing

My return to London from Istanbul in the summer of 2022 after a few decades of absence has taken its toll on my 'output'. Liminal Arts co-operative is one of the projects emerging from my re-adjustments to life in the UK.

After working out how to source materials in an affordable way I've been continuing the exploration of texture and intensity by working on textured board with acrylics. What I'm developing is a series of ideas centred around threshold, tearing and perforation.

The words of Jackson Pollock '“I want to express my feelings rather than illustrate them” seem helpful at this point.

In the year 2022/3 I've had work featuring in the Royal Institute for Painters in Watercolour Open (2023) and had the pleasure to exhibit in three or four other shows.

The mists may be clearing....
